Engaging a supportive learning environment.
|Activate an Apps Account
All students have a Google Apps for Education account with a unique username and password. For incoming students in 2016-17, we have a new username and password convention. Check it out below. If you have questions, contact Ms. Mary McBain at 530.886.4440 or email@example.com.
1. Visit any Google Apps webpage and look for the blue Sign In. (links below)

last name + first initial + two digits of graduation year
3. Password format:
First initial (UpperCase) + Last initial (UpperCase) + Permanent ID # + !

Where's that number?
Parents: You can find this number for your child on the Portal. Look for "Perm ID Num" next to their name on the student info tab.
Change a password?
Students: You may update your password after initial login to anything with 8 or more characters. Just be smart about what you choose. Pick a pass-phrase of a favorite song and include a capital letter and some punctuation marks.
Still not successful?

Where's my Portal?
The Portal is a separate service to view grades, assignments and attendance. Once you have an @puhsd.us Google Apps student account, look for an email to connect to a student Portal account. Once there, click here to log in.
Your account is created as soon as you enroll in one of our schools. Just follow the directions to the left to activate your Google Apps for Education account. It's already waiting in the wings for you. :)
If you're locked out of your account, fill out this online form. You'll hear back from us within a day, if not sooner. If you have specific questions, contact Ms. McBain at 530.886.4440.
What did I accept?
Every student enrolled in a Placer Union school is provided a student use of technology notification which requires an acknowledgement by both child and parent, either through the data confirmation process on the parent's portal or by signature. It is presented at the beginning of each school year or at the time of student transfer. As a ready reminder, it also loads as a browser tab on each school Chromebook. Here's our Student Use of Technology Notification.
Privacy of Student Data
Please read our letter to families regarding student information. This is an effort to provide you assurances, state our commitments, as well as be responsive to society's fast-changing technology landscape. Also addressed are the latest California statutes on student data protections. Privacy Letter to Families

All student portfolios are built using Google Sites and are accessible one year past graduation for your next step in school and life.
Choose great reads while on your Chromebook and then pick 'em up while on campus. Reserve the latest fiction title today and share an online review once you've turned the last page. Read On!

For the Class of 2017, your accounts will remain open until May 2018. For graduating classes prior to 2016, your account has been closed but not deleted. If you need to reopen it to access Drive, Gmail or another Google App, email Mary McBain at email@example.com or call her at 530.886.4440. Once you have access again, you'll want to pull the data to a new Gmail account. To export data from multiple apps, use Google Takeout. To export data only from Drive, use Drive Migrator.
