Welcome to Placer Union!

We invite you to visit our high schools and district office, discovering for yourself why Placer Union is in the vanguard of innovative California school districts. Talented students and their families, along with supportive communities and a dedicated staff and school board all factor into the equation for student success during the high school years and beyond.

STUDENT TRUSTEES JOIN SCHOOL BOARD
The PUHSD Board of Trustees welcomes student representatives in an advisory capacity to its bi-monthly meetings. The "student voice" is critical to governance conversations as the district continues forward with many student-centered initiatives and outcomes.

SUMMER STEAM CAMPS WERE A BLAST!
We hosted "Blast of STEAM" camps in June for future PUHSD students---6th, 7th, 8th graders---and the kids along with our high school camp interns truly had a blast. Offered in partnership with UC Davis, the camps were delivered by talented and enthusiastic teachers with a passion for science, technology, engineering, art and making. Check out the flier.

UPDATE ON DIGITAL INITIATIVES
As a district that issues digital device to all students, we ask each family to enroll in our Chromebook Protection Plan. Also, PUHSD has been featured in several profiles highlighting how we address digital privacy and data security as well as our use of the G Suite and Chromebooks with students and faculty. Check out the documents below.
PROGRESS ON WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY
Placer Union is committed to equal access, and ensuring that our website is accessible to all is part of that effort. The district is making important webpage updates using a quality assurance tool---Site Improve---which helps identify critical issues in need of attention. If you experience difficulty accessing a page, link, or document, please contact Gregg Ramseth at gramseth @ puhsd.k12.ca.us. Thank you.
