Fall Spectacular!

The Del Oro High School Band Program will be hosting the Annual Fall Band Spectacular! show on the 3rd Saturday of October.
The Competition will be comprised of a Parade in the morning down Taylor Road in front of the school and a Field Competition in the Del Oro All-Weather stadium in the late afternoon/evening. Information will be posted here in the weeks approaching the contest as we continue to finalize details.

Spectator Information:

What are the costs? Who Benefits from this? $10 for general admission. Discounts available for Seniors, students, and children. All proceeds go toward the Band program at Del Oro High School. All Spectators must pay for admission. 

Parking: On site parking is available at the Boyington road entrance to the school (off King Road).

Where and When? The Parade will begin at approximately 9:00am on Taylor road in front of Del Oro High School and will stop at Horseshoe Bar road in Downtown Loomis. The Spectator area is between King Road and Horseshoe Bar Road. The Field competition consists of half-time show style performances and is held in the Del Oro High School Stadium. The starting time will be approximately 1:25pm.

Looking for a specific band's start time? Download the schedule at the bottom of this page when it becomes available (normally about 2 weeks prior to event). Please understand that start times may change as late as the morning of the performance! If you want to see a particular band, plan on arriving plenty early in case of time changes.

It is my pleasure to invite you to join us for the 42nd Annual Del Oro Golden Eagle Marching Band Spectacular on Saturday, October 17th, 2020 in Loomis, California. This year’s competition will consist of both Parade and Field events. 

The Spectacular! is an exciting experience for Del Oro High School and the Loomis community. We look forward to hosting an enjoyable and well organized event. The Parade Competition will be held in downtown Loomis and the Field Competition will be held in our school’s all-weather stadium.

Space is limited and entry is on a first-come, first-served basis determined by postmark on paid applications. Schools may participate in just one or both of the competitions. You will be notified of your confirmed entry via email. Please register using the application form to help ensure attendance at your desired event(s). Please have your entries in by September 28, 2018.

Del Oro will use NCBA grouping criteria and will determine participant performance order for the registered attendees based on registration date. Awards will be given in each class, along with Music, Marching, Showmanship and overall combined Sweepstakes along with individual and other awards. A participant packet will be provided to you in early October. This packet will include rules, directions, performance times, maps, etc. We will also ask for more detailed band and program information at this time.
