About Mrs. Carter

Hello All!
My name is Jennifer Carter and I was born and raised in the Central Valley of California.  I never felt at home in California and after my son graduated from high school and my parents went on to their life of adventure living out of their RV, my husband and I decided to move to Colorado.  We began our Colorado journey on "top of the world" in Leadville.  This was not a good fit because of the altitude, it is the two mile high city after all, so on we went to the Western Slope to the little town of Norwood.  We really enjoyed our time out there, but do to some pretty major health issues for my husband, we had to relocate closer to medical services.  Last year, I taught Kindergarten in Fort Morgan.  My health issues with the air there prompted our final relocation in Colorado, PUEBLO.  I have enjoyed my first year teaching here at Columbian in first grade.  I am looking forward to a wonderful year next year as well.  Next year will be year 21 of teaching for me and though I have taught all grades from K-7th, my heart has always been with primary.  I am so honored to be here and have
the pleasure of teaching your children.

When I am not at school, I enjoy watching my husband play sled hockey and playing
with my 3 cats and 1 dog.  I am a HUGE Colorado Avalanche fan and enjoy going to
as many games as I can.
