Welcome Parents and/or Guardians!

October 31st, 2015
Dear Parents and Guardians,
K-101 first Halloween celebration was a success! Mrs. Christina and I want to thank all the parents that were able to come to the parade and/or to our Halloween celebration. For the parents who came you were able to see the activities and songs Mr. Mike and Mr. Ruben(sadly Mr. Ruben wasn't feeling well) do with your children every Friday. The Halloween picture frames came out great, the kids had fun trick or treating in the classroom and getting so many goodies. Thank you to all the parents who helped the other boys and girls at the table. It means a lot to us. The pictures will be posted under Halloween section on the left side, side bar. Enjoy! Have a safe and fun Halloween!
Sincerely,

Ms. Panepinto

Dear Parents and Guardian,
It was a pleasure to have many of you came to our very first Parent-Engagment art project. The family tree came out so great and it was wonderful to see the bond you have with your children. I will be placing the photos on our website, look on the side bar for Family Tree Project. I will be also uploading our first trip to the zoo photos. I'm very sorry for the delay. We will be having our next project next month, I will be sending the invitation home in your child homework folder. The children had fun and were really excited to have you there. Thank you again for those who were able to come. See you soon!
Sincerely,
Ms. Panepinto & Ms. Christina

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Sorry for the late update. However K-101 has been very busy learning our letters, letter sounds, and new sight words. Parents and Guardians please make sure your child is practicing their sight words at home. It is very important when I will test your child in late November, early December on their reading level. We have learned a lot of sight words and it very very important for you child to move up in reading level. Next, starting November your child will bring books home to read. Please try to sit with them and questions them on what was the story about?, who were the characters?, where there a problem? if so, what was the problem and how did they solve it? By doing this encourage a better understanding of a story which I will be testing in late November, early December. Also in November your child will be getting a spelling test every Monday morning/Tuesday if there is no school on a Monday. A letter will be going home about the spelling test really soon. Last, our field trip to the Prospect Park Zoo is coming up really soon. I will make sure for those parents who were not selected for this trip will get to see pictures of your child on our website. Before I close this message, I will be starting our monthly Tuesday Family Engagement art project. Please look out for that invitation. See you all very soon. Have a good day.

Sincerely,
Ms. Panepinto
