Mrs. Morgan's 4th Grade Class
Mrs. Morgan's 4th grade learners have been learning about managing money. The learners earn money by completing their classroom jobs. Once a week they can shop at the class store. There are many different items in their store from pencils, class coupons, toys, and trinkets.

They must manage their money and not spend too much, because once a month, the learners pay rent. For the month of December, their class store will be transforming into a Christmas Shop.

The learners will have the opportunity to use their class money to shop for their family. This was not something Mrs. Morgan could do on her own, so she reached out to some of the businesses in the community.

Western Finance was generous enough to donate a variety of items that Mrs. Morgan's students are able to purchase as Christmas gifts, with their "classroom bucks."

The learners will be given a price sheet of the items. They will create a budget and decide how much they would like to spend. The week before Christmas break, they will purchase and wrap their gifts.

Mrs. Morgan's class would like to thank Western Finance from the bottom of their hearts!

Principal Karen Cook stated, "Here in Oklahoma, our health statistics are pretty horrible. That’s why it’s so important that our kids learn how to take good care of themselves when they’re young." To read the full article, click here
