Sequoyah Reading Contest

Lincoln Elementary is having a Sequoyah Reading contest. Any student between the grades third through sixth is eligible to participate. To enter, get a punch card from Mrs. Teel, read one of the books on the list provided, take an AR test, then have your card punched. Students with ten punches is invited to a pizza party with Mrs. Teel. 





Black History Month 
Lincoln Elementary will be honoring Black History Month for the entire span of February. These learners will be designing projects about historical figures and will also be creating their own Lincoln Elementary Museum that will feature the projects created by the students.

Newbery Award 
Pryor Lincoln Elementary students in the third through sixth grade will be learning about the Newbery Award. These students will hear several book talks and learn to identify award winning books. 






Get Caught Reading

Teachers and staff, please take a pic with your phone anytime you see a learner reading during a non-reading time. Then send the pic to me via email or text. Text to (918)-787-1491. I will post the pics in my window and have a weekly drawing from those pictures. The winner each week will get to choose a prize from my treasure chest. Get caught reading!


Photographic Fantasy
Lincoln's first and second grade classes will be studying a photographic fantasy book titled Stranger in the Woods. These learners will also be given the opportunity to create their own books at the end of the study.
