Mindful Eating

The Early Years students have become experts in using Mindfulness inside and outside of the classroom.

Today, with Mrs. Manning, the students were exposed to "Mindful Eating". This practice is not only important to help us feel full, and to stop us from overeating, but it is also important to help us really taste, and experience the foods that we are eating!

Try mindful eating at your next family meal. Choose a food item, and look at it with your eyes. What do they see? What does it make them feel? Feel it with your hands. What are it's textures? Smell the food. What does it smell like? Place it in your mouth and move it around for a little bit. What sensations does this bring? Choose 10 times. What did you taste?
