P.L. 2018, c. 5, became effective on June 1, 2018. This law requires a school district to conduct a review of the employment history of a new employee regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct. Please complete one (1) form for each employer within the last 20 years that were school entities or where employment involved direct contact with children. Please refer to the instructions on the form.
Employment Application Forms:
Ø When will I be able to substitute? The application process may take 30 days or longer. Your completed application packet will be directed to one of our Assistant Principals and they will contact you to schedule an interview. Once you are recommended as a substitute, your name will be presented to each Board of Education. You will be notified by mail of your approval.
Ø How will I be paid? Days worked during the 1st -15th of the month will be paid on the 30th of the month. Days worked during the 16th-30th of the month will be paid on the 15th of the following month. Payment from the sending districts is subject to their individual district policies.
Ø How much will you be paid? Substitute Teacher - $130/day or $150/day for long-term substitute (two weeks or more). Substitute Nurses - $300/day.
