Jennifer Agganis graduated from Simmons College in Massachusetts in Behavioral Education and obtained her Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification in 2003.  She has been working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders of all ages since 1999.  Previously she ran her own company for several years in South Florida conducting behavioral and academic assessments for young children with autism. From 2004-2009 Jennifer worked for the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities at Florida Atlantic University as a Clinical Support Specialist and eventually the Assistant Director.   She assisted families with strategies to prevent problem behavior and promote the development of necessary life skills.  In addition, she effectively collaborated with local agencies, school districts and other service providers to promote awareness and understanding of individuals diagnosed with autism.  Jennifer conducted numerous training sessions throughout South Florida based on various research based topics for educators, families, and other related service providers.

Beginning in 2010, Jennifer began working for a privately owned behavior analysis company based out of Martin County.  She began working for this company as a behavior analyst conducting functional and ecological assessments, curricular and adaptive assessments for individuals diagnosed with autism in home and community settings.  She was then promoted to the Clinical Director of the Insurance Department and in charge of communicating with insurance companies to obtain eligibility and benefit information for families seeking medically based necessary treatment.  While working for this company, Jennifer held several clinical director positions including training and product development company-wide.  She has worked with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders of all ages and their families. Jennifer is currently completing her doctorate in Exceptional Student Education through Florida Atlantic University and plans to graduate in 2015.  Her area of concentration is on the promotion of safety skills for individuals with autism.  She is currently conducting research that focuses on the necessary teaching methodologies used to promote social media safety skills for teens with autism.
