School Opening - Wednesday September 5th

SCHOOL OPENING:


Level I: Wednesday, September 5 at 9:00 am (dismissed at 10:30)

Level II: Wednesday, September 5 at 11:00 am (dismissed at 12:00)

Level III: Wednesday, September 5 at 12:15 pm (dismissed at 1:15)


All students: Thursday, September 6, regular instructional day

Last Day of School - Thursday, June 28, 2018

Our final day of school for students will be Thursday, June 28. On Thursday we will be holding an awards ceremony in our gym and a hotdog barbeque in our courtyard. Students will be required to clean out their lockers, return any outstanding books and return their locks. There will be an early dismissal and busses will depart PWC at 12:30. Students will receive their report cards near the end of the day on Thursday. No report cards will be released before 11:30.

Cafeteria service is finished for the year

 Final exams begin on Monday June 18, 2018.  Morning exams start at 8:30 a.m. and afternoon exams start at 12:00 p.m.  Please note that cafeteria service is finished for the year.  Thank-you.

On Thursday, May 7th, the Canadian Parents for French held their annual awards ceremonies at Government House. The awards were presented by the Lieutenant Governor, Judy Foote. Congratulations to Justine Yick grade 12 FI - French student of the Year.

FREE ONLINE TUTORING SERVICES WITH CDLI


With final exams on the horizon, we would like to bring your attention to the free online tutoring services CDLI offers which is available to all students of the province, regardless of if they are currently enrolled in CDLI programming.

 Attached you will find a brochure that would be helpful to students, parents and teachers. This brochure provides information on what services we offer, how to access them and what equipment is needed. 

June 2018 Exam Schedule

  • Students will only be excused from school examinations with a Certificate of Medical Incapacity to write or on prior authorization from the Administration.  The Department of Education has specific instruction with regards to missing public examinations.  Please use this link to obtain the necessary information.  http://www.ed.gov.nl.ca/edu/k12/highschool/Section11.pdf
  • Italicized assessments indicate this is a one hour test.  Location of these tests will be announced on the day of the assessment.  Students are not permitted to leave until the hour is finished.
  • PUBLIC EXAMS are indicated in Bold.
  • COMMON FINAL EXAMS are Underlined.
  • Students are not permitted to leave the exam area in the first hour.  Personal emergencies will be dealt with on an individual basis.
  • Books, notes, electronic devices, cell phones, purses, school bags and outerwear must be left in the student’s locker.
  • The alternative exam rooms are Rm. 212 & 210.  It will open at 8:20 and at 11:50.  Students are expected to be on time.
  • Students in school during non-exam time or lunch time must proceed to and remain in the LRC or Cafeteria.
  • Once a student has finished an exam,(or after 10 am for morning exams and 2 pm for afternoon exams) they must either proceed to the LRC, Cafeteria or leave school premises entirely.
