Tool Commits to Parkland College

(MATTOON) Megan Tool, senior at Clinton Community High School and a player for the Premier Fastpitch Softball 18U Gold has verbally committed to Parkland College in Champaign, IL. Tool is a catcher, outfielder and her junior year she was selected Honorable Mention All-State, First Team All-Conference and broke school record in homeruns. As a sophomore, Tool was picked Third Team All-State, First Team All-Conference and broke school record in RBIs. On the basketball court she has received Honorable Mention All-Conference—sophomore year and then First Team All-Conference.

Tool’s high school team, the Lady Maroons won a regional championship in IHSA Class 2A in 2013. She is coached in high school by Emily Starkey and will graduate in 2015.

Tool played summer ball for Coach Denise Prather and is currently coached by Kristi and Dan Paulson. The Premier Fastpitch 16U Orange qualified for ASA 16U Gold Nationals in Oklahoma and placed in the top eight at the Triple Crown Sports Sparkler Tournament in Colorado this year.

Parkland is a NCJAA Division II School, that has three NJCAA National Runners-up Places and has finished in the top 10 eight times. The most recent, a Third Place finish in 2012.

Tool is an honors student and a member of the National Honor Society.

She is the daughter of Melissa and Scott Tool.
