Gowin commits to Lake Land College

(MATTOON) Bailey Gowin, senior at Mt, Zion High School and a player for the Premier Fastpitch Softball 18U Orange has verbally committed to Lake Land College in Mattoon. Gowin plays summer ball for Coach Christine Dickerson and previously played for the Central Illinois Renegades, and CIGS Rebels.

Gowin plays for Coach Greg Blakely at Mt. Zion. In 2014, the Lady Braves were 24-8. Gowin was named to the second team of the Apollo Conference in 2014.

Lake Land is a NCJAA Division I School, that has four straight appearances at the NJCAA Division I National Championships, won three Great Rivers Athletic Conference Titles (GRAC) and four NJCAA D1 Region 24 Tournament championships.

Gowin is a honors student. She is to graduate in May 2015 and is the daughter of Jamie Ueleke and Jay Allison.
