Personal Statement
I am a 5”6’ 130 Ib. catcher and center fielder from St. Joseph, IL who will graduate in 2020. I have played, and started, Varsity softball my freshman and sophomore year and plan to do it my junior and senior year. Both years I earned Honorary mention, All-Area and All-Conference along with 3rd team All-State (Fresh) and 2nd team All-State (Soph). I primarily play center field and catcher. Although freshman year we fell short of the state title, and sophomore year we fell short of the final four, I felt that my team was solid and I contributed strongly to our performance and demonstrated great leadership. Softball is a passion of mine and has been since I started playing travel ball when I was six years old. I would enjoy playing at the college level very much. I hold myself accountable and consistently sets goals for myself because I know and understand I have to work and push myself to get better. I am very determined to make myself a better person and player. I want to become better than I was yesterday. I am seeking a college that has great education, but is competitive when it comes to sports. Another aspect I think is important to have in a team is feeling like a family and being about to have fun and enjoy playing the game I love. I would like to pursue a major in the medical department because I want to be some time of doctor/nurse (anesthesiologist, pediatric nurse).
