Shelli Nolte has over 20 years experience in coaching fastpitch softball. She has coached or assisted in coaching travel teams to multiple top-five finishes at PGF, USA and NSA, USSSA Illinois “A” State Tournaments, two top-5 finishes, four top-10 finishes at PGF, USA, NSA and USFA National Tournaments.

Coach Nolte has also umpired in numerous softball organizations and spent three years as a licensed IHSA umpire. She was also the Executive Director of the Mattoon Girls Softball Association for 10 years. Served as a commissioner for the Illinois ASA and Illinois USSSA, as well as, a tournament director for ASA, NSA and USSSA tournaments.

Coach Nolte is currently the assistant coach at Parkland College and the former head coach at Neoga High School. From 2015-2018, she led the Indians to the IHSA Regional Final two years in a row. Nolte owns a career head coaching record of 484-235.

From 2016-2018 Nolte served as the Travel Ball Representative to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Board of Directors.

Coach Nolte played travel softball, lettered in both volleyball and softball at Mattoon High School. She graduated from Lake Land College and Eastern Illinois University with a degree in Journalism. Coach Nolte currently gives group and private softball lessons in the Mattoon area.

She is married to Keith Nolte, has three children, Allyson, Dack and Kord and two grandchildren Ivy Jane and Jude.

Her daughter, Allyson Nolte Scheer played at Lake Land College in Mattoon and then went on to play two years at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston as a catcher, third baseman. Coach Scheer assisted at Lone Oak High School in Kentucky and served as the head coach of the middle school team. Lone Oak placed second in 2012 at the Kentucky High School State Softball Tournament. Coach Scheer and her husband Matt also previously provided private softball instruction in Kentucky.

When not at the softball field or academy, Coach Nolte can be found spending time with her family, reading or following various sports and enjoying time with her dog, Ike.
