Meet Miss Franz

Hello there!  I am so thrilled to be teaching 4th grade again and to have a new group of students.  This is my fifth year at PRA, if you include my student teaching.  I taught 3rd grade for a year before moving up with the "bubble class" to 4th grade.  Call me biased, but I think 4th grade is the best!

I was born in Texas, but my family moved to Colorado when I was five years old, so I like to consider myself a native.  I am the middle child of three girls. Both of my sisters are married with children.  I have two nephews, two nieces, and another nephew on the way, all of whom I admittedly and unashamedly spoil rotten ;).

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.  I love going to the movies, shopping, trying new restaurants, camping, weekend trips to the mountains, and of course, Starbucks.  I also absolutely love to travel and enjoy experiencing new cultures.

I attended my first two years of college at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.  Extenuating circumstances brought me back to Colorado before finishing my degree.  In 2011, I picked up where I left off here at CCU.  During my practicums, I was in a 4th grade classroom at Littleton Academy, as well as a Kindergarten classroom at Highline Elementary, before finally ending up at PRA.  I completed my student teaching in 3rd grade with Mrs. Hyndman.  After my semester student teaching, I went on to substitute teach at SkyView Academy for a semester before ultimately being offered a position here at PRA.

I have always had a heart for children, so having my passion become my career is a dream come true.  I am truly thrilled to be here and feel blessed to have such an amazing support system in my teammates and the PRA community.
