Meet the Teachers

Mrs. Bell
My name is Kathy Bell and this is my sixth year at PRA. I’m thrilled to be teaching third grade at such an amazing school! I’m a native to Colorado and went to the University of Northern Colorado, where I received my teaching degree. I also have a Master’s degree in Diverse Learning. I taught for a total of six years in Adams County and Jeffco. After having my daughter, I decided to open up an in-home daycare, so that I could stay home and still teach. Once both of my girls were in school full-time, I was eager to return to the classroom! I'm so lucky to be part of this wonderful community!

I have two beautiful girls that are 12 & 16 years old. The older one is driving now, Yikes!!!  As a family, we enjoy hiking together, going out to lunch, swimming, bike rides, movies... We also have an adorable Maltese dog, Lola!  She is such a joy and a wonderful addition to our family.

I also enjoy working out, kick boxing, reading and shopping!

I'm looking forward to working with and getting to know your child.

Mrs. Halpert
My name is Kirstin Halpert and I was both born and raised in San Diego, California. After attending college, I originally worked for the Olympics in Los Angeles, as well as other sports related jobs before rediscovering my true love of working with children.
While in California I met my husband, and in 1996 we moved to Colorado. Both of our daughters attended PRA from Kindergarten through eighth grade. My husband and I are "empty nesters" as both of our daughters just completed college and are beginning their careers.. Megan just graduated High Point University in North Carolina completing her Masters degree in STEM, and is currently teaching third grade at National Heritage Academy in Winston Salem NC.   Lauren is  also just graduated  Baylor University in Texas as a French major and Entrepreneur Business minor. She is currently working as an international flight attendant for United Airlines exploring the world.  In my spare time, I love to watch and attend many local sporting events, solve puzzles, read, and spend time in the mountains.

Professional: I began my teaching career in middle school teaching Math, Science, and Physical Education in Los Angeles. After 11 years, and a move to Colorado, I took some time off. Once our daughters were in school, I partnered with my good friend Mrs. Knapp teaching third grade for eight years. After teaching one year in second grade, I find myself back in third grade and excited to be a part of yet another fabulous team! I feel truly blessed to work at PRA with such amazing families and staff.
