SAT/ACT Workshops
St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES offers the SAT/ACT Workshop to high-school juniors who plan to take the SAT and/or ACT this spring. Classes will be held at the St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES Educational Services Center, 40 West Main St., Canton, on seven Sundays starting March 5th. Workshop classes are 2.5 hours long and are offered on Sundays so students will have fewer conflicts with extra-curricular activities. This course includes practice for the new SAT as well as practice for the ACT. In addition, students may choose to participate in an optional class to prepare for the essay.
Registration materials for the SAT/ACT Workshop are available at your school’s guidance office and online at http://satactworkshop.weebly.com/ .

Registration forms and fee are due no later than February 10th.

Project Challenge
Through our Project Challenge program, Clarkson University provides Saturday morning enrichment courses to North Country high school students in grades 9, 10, 11 or 12 during the months of January and February. Classes run from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon on January 14, January 21, January 28, February 4, February 11 (snow date of February 18). The courses offered this year are described on the attached course description sheet. We are excited to offer THREE NEW courses (and one title change) this year and again, bring back a few favorites!

Class size is typically limited. Students are placed on a first-come, first served basis, with the caveat that we will not be enrolling any students prior to December 19. This should give each district an equal opportunity to register. Registration Deadline is January 6, 2017, there will be no refunds for cancellations after the registration deadline.

The cost of Project Challenge 2017 will be $145 per student, covering all necessary supplies. See your Guidance Counselor to Register
