Mr. Eaton's North Carolina History Website

This year you will be studying North Carolina's history from approximately the 1500s to the present.  Along with our study of our state, we will be studying the changes in the United States over that same period.  The story of our state and nation is fascinating.  Look at history as a story of adventure with mystery, intrigue, bad choices, good choices, perseverance and triumph.

For most 8th grade students this will be the first year of a true history course.  Our studies will follow the North Carolina Essential Standards for Social Studies .  Students will have Mid-Term Exam and a Final Exam (state exam) near the end of the school year.

Good luck this year, and I expect everyone to try to "learn something old" today!
