Duties of delta officers
Article V, Section 7 indicates the duties of officers.

1. The President shall:

a. Serve as the principle officer of Delta Iota Chi.
b. Call meetings to order and organize structure and content of meetings.
c. Record all Delta Iota Chi meeting minutes.
d. Maintain and/or delegate management of Delta Iota Chi locker storage space located in Student Involvement and Leadership Office.
e. Submit a student club annual registration form to the Student Involvement and Leadership Office no later than May 18th of each academic year to register the club for the next academic year.

2. The Vice President shall:

a. Assume the duties of the President in the absence or disability of the President.
b. Accede to office of President in case of vacancy in office.
c. Perform other duties as assigned by the President.
d. Serve the role of liaison of organization contacts and event coordinators.
e. Maintain and/or delegate management of the Delta Iota Chi website.

3. The Secretary shall:

a. Maintain record of Delta Iota Chi membership including meeting attendance, volunteer, hours, and dues.
b. Keep members updated on upcoming events, sales, and any other important
c. Regularly check the Delta Iota Chi mailbox located in the Student Involvement and Leadership office.
d. Maintain and/or delegate management of the Delta Iota Chi bulletin board located on the 2nd/3rd floor landing in Ramstad.
e. Perform other duties assigned by the President.

4. The Treasurer shall:

a. Act as custodian of Delta Iota Chi funds and see that a financial report is prepared each
b. Record all dues paid each semester by Delta Iota Chi members.
c. Distribute funds to events and projects as voted on by Delta Iota Chi members and
d. Assure appropriate fundraising paperwork has been filed and approved by the Student Involvement and Leadership office prior to conducting any fundraising activities.

5. NSNA Liaison 
a. Post all Delta Iota Chi meeting minutes to the website within one week following each meeting.
b. Forward minutes to the state nursing student association board as well as the names and addresses of all officers after their election.
c. Update NSNA Club Constituency form every upcoming year in April.
d. Attend NSWS board meetings quarterly. If unable to attend officer must find an alternate to go in their place.
e. Keep members updated on NSNA and NSWS news and events.
f. Oversees the process of sending delegate(s) to the Annual NSNA Convention.
