2017-2018.

During the 3rd semester the choir classes will be defining the terms we use every day in class.  
Terms for the week of Jan. 16th.
Rhythm-The organization of sound and silence in time.
Pitch-The relative highness or lowness of a pitch.
Tempo-The speed of the beat in time.
Balance-Equal amounts of sound from each section of the choir.
Diction-The clear enunciation of sound from each section of the choir.
Tone-The quality or color of a sound.
Bass-The lowest adult male singing voice.
Soprano-The highest adult female singing voice.
Alto-Lowest sounding female voice.
Tenor-The highest sounding male voice.














 This site is designed for the students and parents of Pleasant Middle School Choir and General Music classes in Marion, OH.

                20 pair Drum Sticks 
                20-5 gallon buckets
                40 handheld mirrors
                Kleenex
                Clorox Wipes

Choir Dates and Information

Concert Thursday, May 17

We will be presenting ‘From Sea to Shining Sea’ at 7:00 in the Middle School Gymnasium.

 

When you arrive enter the choir room and sign in on the board next to your name. Then take your seat on the stage.  ***Get a drink and go to the restroom before you sit down on stage.  Give your parents your phone.

 

8th Grade-Please arrive at 6:00 and we will run through MY SHOT at 6:05.

 

 

6th and 7th Grade- arrive at 6:20 and sign in.

 

At 6:30 we will run America the Beautiful with the band. 

 

Parents:  It will be crowded please make use of the chairs on the floor of the gym.

 

Wearing: Jeans-no tears, holes or rips,  your t-shirt.
