Currently serving teachers in Castro Valley, Dublin, and Livermore

Welcome to our Website!

Vision:

The vision of the Tri-Valley Teacher Induction Program is to accelerate growth and enhance the development of Participating Teachers in a thoughtful, sustained, and systematic manner through the implementation of a quality teacher induction experience.

TVTIP believes every student deserves a quality learning experience. To achieve this goal, we partner fully released, highly trained induction coaches with teacher candidates. Our coaches support and guide candidates to accelerate their growth as practitioners, for the benefit of all students, while earning a California Professional Clear Teaching Credential.

TVTIP is built on the core values of equity, responsiveness, positive presupposition, reflective dialogue, and inquiry. Through an individualized goal-focused approach, we guide teachers and coaches in strengthening best practices within and beyond the classroom, as outlined in the California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP), to ensure the growth of all students.

The Program’s vision is grounded in Linda Darling Hammond’s research that the quality of teaching in the classroom is the number one indicator of student success. For sixteen years, the program partnered with New Teacher Center whose mission was to develop educators to empower students for success. NTC combined decades of expertise with current research to develop and share best practices in rigorous standards-based learning, social and emotional learning, research-based instructional practices, and diverse learning needs. We continue to use this foundation as we support new teachers in their growth and development for the success of our students.

Mission:

The Tri-Valley Teacher Induction Program (TVTIP) is an individualized, job-embedded system of coaching, support and professional learning. Participating teachers in the Induction Program experience enhanced professional growth and development building upon their teacher preparation program by participating in a rich and thoughtful induction process.

Participating Teachers engage in reflective conversations with experienced coaches and chart their own progress through the continuum of skills, knowledge, and abilities aligned to the California Standards for the Teaching Profession and State adopted academic student content standards in order to accelerate their development; therefore, positively impacting student learning.
