7 Ways to Encourage Reluctant Readers
What is Reader's Workshop?
In this class we will be using the Reading Workshop Model to cover the literature standards. The workshop model consists of daily mini lessons that focus on specific reading strategies. I will explain the strategy and model it. Together we will practice the strategy using our core literature book. Then students try the strategy out independently. Students start the independent portion during SSR, and complete it for homework.
