Would you like to...
  • be part of a positive change for Pleasanton students?
  • share your ideas about how to help students thrive?
  • build understanding of the different abilities at our schools?
  • have your voice heard by district administrators?
If so, here are three ways you can be involved by becoming an SNC Member:

SNC NEWS is an electronic newsletter released eight times a year (except June, July, August and December) which offers news and resources beneficial to families of SDC (special day class), 504, Resource and general education students. Information includes upcoming events and workshops hosted by SNC, the school district, and other local organizations.

Attend our monthly SNC meetings to share your ideas and perspectives, and/or volunteer at any of our sponsored events (FREE evening speaker presentations, Ability Awareness Week at participating Pleasanton schools, district-sponsored Special Olympics.) Please offer your support based on your interest and availability.

You must submit the district's annual Volunteer Clearance Form before you can volunteer at any school site. This form must be completed each year.

Represent your school and attend the monthly SNC meetings to update the committee about any ideas or concerns about your school. Share and promote any news and events. Work with your school's PTA to support the Ability Awareness program. Communicate and build relationships with key school personnel (principals, teachers, specialists, PTA.)
