Welcome to PRA Music! I am so pleased to share my love of music with the students here at PRA. I believe music impacts academic achievement and brain development while informing the way our students understand the world around them.
I loved music and dancing from a young age, and participated in band, choir and musical theater throughout my schooling. I worked at several dinner theaters and performed with a band for 10 years professionally on the road. I continued to perform, teach privately and coordinate music for worship for many years as I raised my three children. My degree in music from Metro State led me to PRA. I was a voice major but I also play piano, drums, sax, flute, guitar, and of course our classroom instruments including recorder and xylophones. I recently finished a Masters Degree in Information and Learning Technology from CUDenver.
I believe in the strength of the Core Knowledge curriculum and am very excited to begin a new year with this wonderful PRA community.

"Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything" Plato
"Where words fail, music speaks" Hans Christian Andersen
"It is impossible to separate life from art. Political and economic developments may seem to dominate the news, but culture and education are the forces that actually shape an age, since they transform the human heart." Daisaku Ikeda
