Meet the Teachers

Mrs. Fahlstedt

I am looking forward to another amazing year at PRA!  I received my bachelors degree from Arizona State University and my teaching license from Metropolitan State University.  I live in Centennial with my husband, Tim. We are the parents of four amazing kids.  Our youngest child (daughter) is a senior at Colorado State University.  Two of our three boys are married and we welcomed our first grandchild this past fall.  I love reading, ice hockey and spending time with family.  Teaching is one of the most rewarding careers I could ever imagine and I am reminded of this every day when I step in the classroom and see their smiling faces. Second grade is such an exciting year with amazing growth for students. I look forward to fostering a passion for learning within your children and getting to know all of you.

Mrs. Gambill

I have lived in Colorado for the past twenty five years.  I love it here.  I graduated from Highlands Ranch High School.  I love this community.

Before graduating from college I spent 18 months in Guatemala serving a mission for my church. While there I became fluent in the Spanish language.  Upon my return I graduated from the University of Utah in Elementary Education.  As a child I always admired my teachers and knew that someday, I too would become an educator.  I am grateful for that insight I had as a child, as I feel rewarded daily for being a part of this profession.

I started at Platte River Academy right out of college as an instructional aide.  That same year, I got married and became Mrs. Gambill.  That was 15 years ago!  Since then, I have taught both first and second grade and I love it here.

I have two young children Emery (9) in fourth grade, and Mason (6)

who is in first grade this year

.  I love spending time with my family and cherish the job I have at home, being a Mother.
