Important Notice about our Lunch Program

Plainfield Elementary School will not be offering hot lunch on school days when Cornish Elementary School is not in session.  This can occur on days when Cornish and Plainfield’s school calendar do not align or on unplanned days when Cornish is not in session, such as a weather related closing.  


Students who attend Plainfield Elementary School are required to bring lunch on these days as we do not have the facility to prepare lunches.  


Planned days are noted on the Plainfield School Lunch Menu as “Lunch Not Offered Today”.  In the event that Cornish Elementary School cancels a school day that Plainfield does not, the principal or designee will issue a community message through BlackBoard Connect notifying families of the need to bring a lunch to school.


Due to this change in lunch offerings it is essential that all families plan accordingly.
