WH Robinson: The CARE Model

At WH Robinson, our Title I Teachers work with small groups of students in reading based on student need and with all our First Grade Classrooms using Pitt County's CARE model. The CARE model is a whole group intervention model for First Grade. It is an innovative way to maximize student achievement using Title I funds. This plan allows Reading Specialists to share current research and their knowledge of literacy with groups of students and teachers. Ongoing professional development is in place in order to effectively support literacy instruction for teachers and students.

Rebecca Bulvanoski and Debra Pagona are the Reading Specialists that collaborate with all First Grade Teachers and assistants for The CARE model at WHR.
