Try Outs For Battle of the Books
Please read the following for information about trying out for the 2016-2017 GRW Battle of the Books Teams.

In order to be invited to be a member of the 2016-2017 GRW Battle of the Books team, students must complete three steps:

1. Students must complete and return a student application to Mrs. Toriello before summer break.  The application must be signed by a teacher and a guardian.
2. Students must pass an author/title matching quiz with 100% accuracy by the end of school on Friday May 27th, 2016. Students should take the quiz in the media center any day between Monday April 9th and Friday May 27th at their teacher’s convenience.  Only students who pass with 100% by the deadline will go on to step three.
3. Students must pass a comprehension matching summer reading test with an “A” average by the end of the school day on Friday September 16, 2016. Please see Mrs. Toriello for the summer reading list and requirements before summer break.

Our school's first ever FLL team participated in the state competition last Sunday. The team competed against 60 other schools in robot design, core values
and project presentation.  The team did an excellent job, scoring in the top 50% in robot competition and scoring over 300 points. Mrs. Dwyer and Mrs. Justice look forward to making this a yearly event for students at GRW.
