Welcome to Mrs. Simpson's Science Class.   I look forward to teaching your student and hopefully inspire them to learn more about the sciences.  I will be at the 3-11 campus in the mornings for 6th and 7th grade Science.  Then I'll transfer to the K-2 campus for STEM.  The best way to reach me will be by email (bsimpson@pinnacleclassicalacademy.com).

Homework:  I post homework on the board in class and on my website.   Click on the appropriate homework tab below.  Throughout the year you will find that I hyperlink vocabulary and my class notes  (power point presentation) under the homework tabs, as well as, on the Final Exam Review link below.

Books:  In class we will be using Interactive Science textbooks as well as the online textbook.  The science textbooks do not go home. Students have access to the online textbook.   Students have their login information.
Go to www.pearsonsuccessnet.com;  click Login;   Username:  firstname.lastname  Password:  pca@studentid#

PowerSchool:  All grades will be posted in PowerSchool.  If you need help with PowerSchool, contact our PowerSchool administrator, Audrey Deaton, at adeaton@pinnacleclassicalacademy.com.   PowerSchool is where you can see your student's grades and absences.

Afterthoughts:  An opportunity to make up time, work, quizzes and tests missed due to an absence.  Afterthoughts is held on Thursdays and Fridays from 3:15 to 4:45 pm.  If your student misses a science quiz/test they are responsible to make it up.  I will try to email you that he/she will need to make it up in the next Afterthoughts.  More information can be found in the Student Handbook online.

If you have any questions, you can contact me at bsimpson@pinnacleclassicalacademy.com or through the school number 704-740-4040.
This is going to be a great year!
