What is a Prospectus?

A prospectus gives you a general sense of direction about the topic you want to investigate.  Your prospectus should answer the following questions:

  • What served as the impetus for your inquiry?  In other words, what got you interested in this topic?
  • What resources or readings have informed your inquiry thus far?
  • What do you still need to discover?  Where will you be taking your research?  Will you be conducting a field study, a survey, a data analysis, an experiment, or a review the literature?
You must provide a bibliography, a list of the books, articles, sources, media that you may not have had time to read yet, but which still look promising in terms of providing information for your topic

The length of your prospectus must be at least 600 words and must be posted on this Google site.
