The Neuroscience Graduate Student Organization (NGSO) is the association for all students, post-doctoral fellows, and research trainees in the Dominick P. Purpura Department of Neuroscience of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The NGSO seeks to provide services and activities to enhance the academic, professional, and social experience of all individuals within the department.

Junior Investigator Neuroscience Research Award

JINRA 2017 
Purpose

The Junior Investigator Neuroscience Research Award is a competitive award that provides funding for Albert Einstein College of Medicine PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows performing neuroscience-related research. This award provides resources for a neuroscience-related research project that complements the applicant’s current research. An additional purpose is to promote scientific communication, grantsmanship and engagement in a peer-review process among neuroscience students and postdocs.

  • Award Stipulations: Each award is for up to $5,000. Laboratory equipment, reagents, or shared facility costs constitute appropriate use of this fund. Items such as personal computers do not. The funds are not to be used for defraying costs of attending a scientific conference.
