    PRAIRIE GROVE HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

    May 6, 2016

     

    1. Seniors - please remember to turn in all scholarships you have been offered...even the ones you are not going to accept.  We want to be able to recognize you at graduation!

    2. Sophomore Fundraiser 

      Lip Sync Battle

      May 19, 6:30 – 8:30 at the Elementary Cafeteria

      Any student 7th – 12th can participate.  To participate it is $5 for a group of 1-2, $15 for groups of 3 or more.  To watch - $1 for students.  Family Donations accepted at the door.  Concessions will be sold.

    3. If you are interested in trying out for the 2016-2017 Cheer or Pom Squads you will need to obtain an athletic physical. This is a reminder from Athletic Director, Coach Roy, that you may use our school's clinic to perform your athletic physical for only $10.  To contact the school clinic and make an appointment please call 846-8100.  More tryout information will be available soon.

    4. Seniors - Be sure that you turn in all textbooks, return car tag, pay for cafeteria charges, pay club dues and return any uniforms.

    5. Cafeteria charges will have to be paid to be able to exempt semester test.

    6. Please turn in your Spring Pictures or send in payment.

    7. If you are an upcoming Junior or Senior and are interested in being on the 2016-2017 Yearbook Staff, please pick up an application from your English teacher or in Mrs. Bartholomew's class, Rm. 104.  Applications are due no later than Thursday, May 12.

    8. For the Regional softball and baseball tournaments only AAA passes will be accepted.

    9. There will be a Drive for Cash fundraiser this Saturday, May 7th from 10 – 5.  Lewis Ford will have vehicles at the High School that you can test drive.  For each vehicle that is test driven $20 will be given to the athletic department. 

    10. There are applications for Camp Rescue in the office.  The program provides area students (ages 15 – 18) with an introduction to the various careers of public safety.  In addition it gives the participants American Heart Association CPR certification.

    11. Beginning Wednesday, May 11, the cafeteria will not allow charging for meals or extra items.  Please make sure you have money in your accounts or pay daily.

    12. Seniors that turned in pictures for the senior slide show need to pick them up in Ms. Laird's room.

    13. The Fine Arts Festival is this Saturday from 2-4 pm in the high school cafeteria.  Everyone is welcome! Come out and enjoy wonderful artwork, fabulous live music, and delicious homemade refreshments!

    14. It's Pop Tab collection time for the Arkansas Children's Hospital.  Please bring all of the Pop Tab's you have been collecting, or can collect, to Mr. Whitley or April Stout by Thursday, May 12th.  Every top counts!
