PRAIRIE GROVE HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

May 16, 2019

 

  1. There is still time to apply to be a part of the Washington County Youth Preparedness Council.  Applications are in the counseling center.

  2. Junior Bank Board applications for next year are in the office and Ms. Laird's room. They are due Monday, May 20.

  3. Anyone interested in being on the boys or girls golf team please contact Coach Smith at rachael.smith@pgtigers.org for a packet of information.  Practices will begin this summer and are not mandatory.  No experience is necessary.

  4. Tiger Honor Choir try-outs will be held in the Choir Room, after school, this week.  For questions and details, please contact Mrs. Young or any current Tiger Honor Choir member.

  5. If you are interested in being a DECA Officer or helping plan events for next year’s DECA, Come to Ms. Laird’s room at lunch on Friday.

  6. There will be a quick Cross Country Sign Up Meeting during both lunches on Friday the 17th. You need to come sign up and get some practice info even if you ran last year. And, of course, new runners are always welcome.

  1. Any student that signed up for CNA, or might still be interested in signing up needs to attend the meeting during your lunch in Room 204 tomorrow.

  2. There is still time to apply to be a part of the Washington County Youth Preparedness Council.  Applications are in the counseling center.

  1. For anyone interested in playing tennis next year, there will be a meeting during both lunches today in Mrs. Coach Froud’s room 210.  

  2. Seniors – remember to turn in your parking pass to the office.  If you have lost it you will need to pay $5.

  3. Seniors - if you need your final high school transcript sent somewhere after graduation please fill out the form that is in your email from Mrs. Hunt. Most colleges, trade schools, training programs, etc. need this before you can start classes.

  2. Seniors:  Wednesday is the absolute last day to submit a picture for the senior video that will be displayed at the senior breakfast.

  3. For anyone interested in playing tennis next year, there will be a meeting during both lunches this Friday in Mrs. Coach Froud’s room 210.   

  4. Congratulations to the Jazz Band for their performance over the weekend in the Bentonville West Jazz Festival. The band earned a superior rating and was chosen as the outstanding ensemble in class 4A.

  2. Hall of Fame applications are available in the office.  All applicants must be current seniors and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or higher, be an officer in two clubs OR be a club officer AND a class officer.  They also must have achieved district, conference, regional, or state recognition in a school-sponsored sport or organization.  Applications will be reviewed and a maximum of three recipients will be awarded.  All applications must be returned to Mrs. Ceniceros by 4pm today.

  3. FCA will be meeting today both lunches in Mr. Hays’ room.  Bring your lunch.  Everyone is invited to attend.

  4. Last day to sign up for the June ACT without a late fee is today.

  5. SCLA will have a meeting today - 2nd lunch.

  6. Any girls interested in playing basketball next school year need to see Coach Froud at lunch.

  1. Hey there seniors!  If you are needing your gown steamed for graduation, you can drop it by Mrs. Dixon's room, and for a $5 donation to FCCLA she will get your wrinkles out so you will look fabulous on the 18th!

  2. Hall of Fame applications are available in the office.  All applicants must be current seniors and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or higher, be an officer in two clubs OR be a club officer AND a class officer.  They also must have achieved district, conference, regional, or state recognition in a school-sponsored sport or organization.  Applications will be reviewed and a maximum of three recipients will be awarded.  All applications must be returned to Mrs. Ceniceros by 4pm on Friday, May 3rd.

  3. FCA will be meeting this Friday both lunches in Mr. Hays’ room.  Bring your lunch.  Everyone is invited to attend.

  4. GSA will be meeting this Thursday to discuss our end of the year party. The meeting will be in Mrs. Altman's room after school!

  5. All high school library books and fines are due to be returned / fines paid by this Friday May 3rd.

  6. Seniors - please turn in your scholarship list to Mrs Hunt or your English teacher by Wednesday!

  7. We have Advisory today - Seniors that have not done the CPR training yet will need to report to the Library for Advisory!
