ESOL Websites for Reading, Grammar, Vocabulary, and Writing

Provided is a list of free educational websites to reinforce objectives being taught in the classroom.  These websites will provide extra practice with Language Arts skills such as reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar.  The links may take you to a specific game, but feel free to browse the websites for additional games and quizzes that will benefit your child, and help them become more proficient in their English language skills.

www.wegivebooks.com  You can select books to read online by age. There is no audio, just a picture of each page of the book. Free, but you must Join to read the books. Donates books to charities.

http://en.childrenslibrary.org/  International Children’s Digital Library aims to provide children access to the best of children's literature from around the world. Totally free children’s books online in several languages. Just shows the books, no narrations.

http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/  Listen to a song, play a game, read a story and write a response. You must register to post responses. Has links to sites for teens and adults too.
