Biography:
A Rich Square, North Carolina native, she is the daughter of the late John and Janet Pellam. Both parents were educators but her father was the former principal of Gaston Junior High School in Northampton County. She is a graduate of East Carolina University (BS: Special Education) and Bowie State University (M. Ed: School Administration.) She has been an educator of Pre-K through grade twelve since 1986.
