Books for all 4th and 5th grade students will be provided by the county.

Please remember to practice using as many of your senses as possible.

1. Touch (touch the notes and touch your instrument)

2. Sight (look at the notes as you play)

3. Hear (listen to what comes out of the instrument)

4. Smell (clean your instrument so it doesn't smell)

5. Taste (eat a healthy snack when you are done)

    • The Instrumental Music Program at your child's school offers class instruction in band and orchestral instruments to interested fourth, fifth, and sometimes sixth grade students.

    • Students are released from classroom activities 2 days a week to participate in the instrumental music classes.

    • Instruction is offered on flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone horn, violin, viola, and cello. Other band and orchestral instruments may be accepted into the program at the discretion of the teacher.
