Language Arts

This is Mrs. Reuter's 23rd year of teaching and her fourth in Pewaukee. She earned a Master's Degree in Educational Computing from Cardinal Stritch University. For 15 years, She provided professional development to educators. She also presents at conferences and teaches university level courses to other educators.  The courses are “Best Practices for 21st Century Teaching and Learning with 1:1 Programs” and “Writer’s Workshop in Our Digital World”.  Since her visit to Columbia Teacher’s College, she celebrates the fact that technology and literacy should be an integral part of all subject areas. This year her focus will be literacy, teaching both Reader's and Writer's Workshop. To learn more about her professional philosophy, please visit her blog. Math, Science and Social Studies

It is Mrs. Vega's first year teaching 6th grade at Horizon, but was formerly a 3rd grade teacher at PLE for nine years. She has been teaching for over 26 years including the districts of Richfield and MPS.  She earned her undergraduate degree from UW-Whitewater, has her Master's Degree in Education from Viterbo, and is on the Waukesha County Historical Society Education Council. She is married to her husband, Mike and has one daughter, Claudia, who just graduated from PHS and is attending UW-Oshkosh this Fall. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, decorating and antiquing.
