Peshtigo offers 4-year-old kindergarten to any child who resides in the Peshtigo School district who is 4 years of age on, or before, September 1st of the given school-year.
Our half-day sessions run Monday through Thursday with morning classes meeting from 8:00-11:10 and afternoon classes meeting from 12:00-3:10.
Busing is offered to afternoon students who reside outside the city limits and any student who attends our local daycare programs.
The program includes a strong focus on parent-school communication with regular family outreach opportunities and conferences.
Our activity based, developmentally appropriate programs are taught by highly qualified Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction licensed teachers.
We believe that children learn best through play. In a hands-on, center-based environment, we strive to provide our students with opportunities to make choices by exploring, investigating and socializing among others their own age. Our pre-kindergarten program incorporates the development of social skills in order for children to solve problems independently and communicate with one another.
“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.”
– Fred Rogers
