The scholarship recipient(s) will be awarded by Jacquie Hauser, the wife of Jim Hauser.  Jim Hauser was a long-standing teacher, track coach, basketball coach, and football coach for Perkins High School for 25+ years.  His career as head boys track coach was highlighted by Perkins’ first state championship in 1984.  His career as head football coach was highlighted by Perkins’ very first SBC Championship.  Jim Hauser lived and breathed Perkins Schools.  He was inducted into the Perkins Hall of Fame in 2008.  In May of 2010, Jim Hauser lost his fight with sarcoma cancer, after a 2 1/2 year battle.  We began this scholarship in 2011 to remember the traditions and passion Jim Hauser had for Perkins schools.
