Principal's Message

Sarah Baker
Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s):

Greetings and welcome to the school website for Sellersville Elementary School! This new school year begins with a continued focus on excellence and an educational program promoting student achievement. Sellersville is one of seven elementary schools in the Pennridge School District. Our school has approximately 450 students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade.

I am excited to return for my fifth year as principal at Sellersville. My name is Mrs. Baker and I am very excited to be a part the Sellersville Shark family! This is my twelfth year as a school administrator and I am so glad for the 2017-2018 school year!

The staff’s commitment to excellence is one of the reasons why Sellersville Elementary enjoys such a great reputation. We continue to rely on parent volunteers to assist us in book conferencing, clerical responsibilities, varied tasks relating to classroom support, monitoring students during the lunch period, organizing family and classroom socials, and the coordination of The Race for Education. The PTU plays an integral role in creating a school community by developing and organizing events in order to help defray the cost of field trips, school assemblies, technology, and other materials that will benefit the students. If you are interested in volunteering --- we can find a way to make it work with your schedule and talents!

Our school will be celebrating the “SHARKS” as we build school community this year. We will be implementing the Positive School Behavior System which promotes good behavior and positive choices.

Sellersville will join the remainder of the district in focusing on our district-wide goals.
  • Goal #1 – Improve communication across all levels and factions.
  • Goal #2 – Improve technology
  • Goal #3 – Ensure growth of all students
  • Goal #4 – Help students to build social skills
  • Goal #5 – Improve trust, respect and morale

Finally, it is the students who make Sellersville Elementary an outstanding school. Peer buddies, Safeties and other groups, under the coordination of the faculty, Instructional Support Teacher, and classroom teachers will continue to have a positive impact on creating an enriching school environment.

Thank you for visiting our website! Feel free to access your child’s grade level website for important information relevant to your child’s grade level. Sellersville’s site is accessible through the Pennridge School District’s website.
