Roosevelt’s plans for post-World War II included the establishment of the United Nations, where all nations could work together.


Magazine Drive News – Today is our first turn in day of the Magazine & Cookie Dough Fundraiser!  Please give all your orders to your homeroom captain during AM homeroom.  Homeroom captains, please bring your yellow envelopes to Mrs. Hippauf’s room during AM homeroom.  Prizes will be distributed by Friday.  The next turn in day will be next Wednesday!  Keep the orders coming and remember to work SMART, not hard!  Good luck and keep wearing your ducks!  Mr. Renner will feed any ducks he comes across!


Wellness News – Mr. Bosler and Mrs. Welsh’s CP4 classes should report to their classrooms for the beginning of class today.  Please bring a pencil.  We will head down to the gym after a brief classroom activity.  We will not be changing.

·         Mrs. Welsh’s students should report to room #301

·         Mr. Bosler’s students should report to room #201

SMYLE News – SMYLE is open to the following homerooms this week:  Mrs. Freed, Mrs. Woodman, Mrs. Purscell, Mr. Bach, and Mrs. Lewis.


Girls’ Basketball News – Coach Arnold and Coach McCann invite 7th & 8th grade girls interested in playing basketball for South to attend a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, October 10th during CP11 in the cafeteria.


Boxtop$ for Education – Save those Boxtop$!  A new Boxtop$ challenge is on and will run until Friday, October 20th.  Submit all Boxtop$ to your homeroom.  The homeroom with the most Boxtop$ collected will win a prize!  All funds earned will help support our school.  Good luck to all of the homerooms!



  • Attn. Parents/Guardians:  When dropping off/picking up students/forgotten items, PLEASE do not park in the NO PARKING/FIRE ZONE area near the main office entrance.
    • Due to bus traffic and student safety, please park on the street between the hours of 7:00AM – 8:00AM, and 2:00PM – 3:00PM.  Otherwise, you may park in the designated parking spaces in the parking lot.  Thank you!
  • Attn. Parents/Guardians:  When calling in your child’s absence, please remember to call the voice mail line at 215-257-0469 (press 4 or ext. 1008).  Thank you!
  • Attn Students:  ALL students should be entering the building in the morning through the doors near the cafeteria. DO NOT enter through the front doors near the bike rack.
  • Please remind your parents they are not to enter the front lot where the buses drop off between 7:00-8:15AM.  If your parent or guardian is dropping you off between these times, they should let you out at the 5th Street curb.
  • Also, no students should be entering through the front doors before 7:45AM.
  • All Students and staff are reminded - DO NOT open building doors for anyone.  All guests should be directed to enter thru the secure vestibule at the front of the building.
