Today is DAY 5

September Theme – October’s “T.A.K.E.S. P.R.I.D.E.” theme is “acceptance.”

Quote of the Day – This week’s quote is from J. K. Rowling.  J. K. Rowling said, “Understanding is the first step to acceptance, and only with acceptance can there be recovery.”  There are many examples of acceptance between different groups and species in the Harry Potter series.  Can you think of one?

Magazine Drive News – Today is our 2nd turn-in day of the Magazine & Cookie Dough Fundraiser!  Please give all your orders to your homeroom captain during AM homeroom.  Homeroom captains, please bring your yellow envelopes to Mrs. Hippauf’s room during AM homeroom.  Prizes will be distributed tomorrow.  If you have any last minute orders, Mrs. Hippauf will still accept orders through Friday, 10/13 and these orders will count toward the prize chart!

Picture Re-take Day - Today is picture RETAKE day!  If you were NOT PHOTOGRAPHED on picture day or your picture package is unacceptable, and you signed up for picture retakes, please report to the auditorium after these announcements for your picture retakes.

Suggestions? – Got ideas on how to help make South a better place?  You can write them down on a piece of paper and place them in the green boxes outside of room #114 or on the cafeteria bulletin board.  You can remain anonymous or you may write your name on it.  Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
