Today is DAY 6

October Theme – October’s “T.A.K.E.S. P.R.I.D.E.” theme is “Acceptance.”

Quote of the Day – This week’s quote is from J. K. Rowling.  J. K. Rowling said, “Understanding is the first step to acceptance, and only with acceptance can there be recovery.”  J.K. Rowling is the author of the Harry Potter series.  Her work encouraged the acceptance of others, as seen in the struggle for muggles, to be accepted in the magical world.

Cafeteria News – Today’s lunch entrees are:

  • Cheeseburger Sliders
  • Rib-b-que Sandwich

Magazine Drive News – Prizes for the 1st turn-in day of South’s Fundraiser were sent to homeroom this morning.  HR Captains, please follow the instruction page to make sure everyone receives their ducks!

Our 2nd turn-in day will be Friday, so you still have time to collect orders and earn prizes!  There are lots of incentives this year including the Limo Lunch, the BINGO party, the homeroom participation competition, and of course the ducks!  Mr. Renner will be feeding ducks - so be sure to wear yours to earn an extra treat!  By the way, Mr. Bach’s homeroom is leading the homeroom participation challenge!  Who is going to catch them?!  Good luck and keep the orders coming!

Pink Out News – Thanks go out to everyone who participated in Friday’s South MS Pink Out!  So many of you displayed awesome school spirit and support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and went all out PINK!  Check out the South MS website to see the overhead pic of our pink ribbon we made on our football field.  Special thanks go out to Ms. Meneeley for organizing this event and to Mr. Morris for the awesome pix!  Way to go South!
