Today is DAY 2

September Theme – September’s “T.A.K.E.S. P.R.I.D.E.” theme is “trustworthiness.”

Quote of the Day – This week’s quote is from Henry Stimson.  Henry Stimson said, “The only way to make a man trustworthy is to trust him.”  It is important that you trust the people that you know and care about. You should give your friends a chance to prove they are trustworthy to you.

Rita’s Water Ice Night – The SCN welcomes South students and staff back to a new school year!  To kick off the school year right, come on out TONIGHT from 5:30-8:30PM to the Rita’s in Perkasie at 7th & Market St. for a delicious treat!  A percentage of the proceeds will benefit South MS.  Come on out and have an “ICE” evening and be on the lookout for some familiar faces when you place your order!  Hope to see everyone there!

Music News -

  • Band News – Attention 7th & 8th grade band members:
    • In 2 weeks we will be performing in front of hundreds of screaming fans at the PHS football game vs. North Penn.  That game is a “Gold Out” and if you want to order the official Gold-Out t-shirt from PHS, you need to submit your order form no later than Monday morning.  There is no possibility for extensions so please report to the band room immediately after announcements to get your order form if you want one.
    • Also in band news, the Jazz Band auditions will take place next week.  If anyone still needs an audition packet, you can get one in the band room from Mr. Morris.
  • Choir News
    • Any 8th grade student interested in signing up for Choir should place their signed Choir contract in the folder outside Miss Krall’s room by Monday, September 11th.  8th graders needing information about Choir or a contract can see Miss Krall or take a brochure from the music stand outside the Choir room.
  • Orchestra News
    •  All 6/7/8 orchestra members are asked to return their orchestra permission slips asap to Mrs. Young so schedules can be made.

Friday Night Football – Tonight is a home football game at the high school.  If you are planning on attending and would like to purchase a student ticket early for $4.00, see Mr. Renner.  He will be selling them during lunches on Friday.  Remember, you can only purchase a ticket for yourself, not your family or friends.  Any questions, see Mr. Renner.

Boxtop$ for Education – Save those Boxtop$!  A new Boxtop$ challenge begins on Monday, September 11th and will run until Friday, October 20th.  Submit all Boxtop$ to your homeroom.  The homeroom with the most Boxtop$ collected will win a prize!  All funds earned will help support our school.  Good luck to all of the homerooms!
