Wednesday, May 24: Day 4

posted May 23, 2017, 12:01 PM by Joyce Sulat   [ updated May 23, 2017, 12:01 PM ]

Our T.A.K.E.S.P.R.I.D.E. theme of the month is “Dependability.”  This week’s quote is from Elbert Hubbard.  Elbert Hubbard said, “Don’t make excuses – make good.”  Think about someone whom you really admire and look up to.  That person is probably someone you trust, respect and can count on.  They did not earn your admiration by making excuses.  They earned your respect by being someone who is dependable that they can count on.

This week’s quote is from Elbert Hubbard.  Elbert Hubbard said, “Don’t make excuses – make

good.”  Elbert Hubbard was an American writer, publisher, artist, and philosopher.  He died

aboard the RMS Lusitania, which was sunk by a German submarine off the coast of Ireland on

May 7, 1915.  Mr. Hubbard’s message for us is that while it is often difficult to do everything we

need to do, we need to try to be dependable and not make excuses.  This is good advice.

Dependable people do not make excuses.

Our T.A.K.E.S.P.R.I.D.E. theme of the month is “Dependability.”

This week’s quote is from General Omar Bradley.  General Bradley said, “Dependability, integrity, the characteristic of never knowingly doing anything wrong, that you would never cheat anyone, that you would give everybody a fair deal…  character is sort of an all-inclusive thing.  If a man has character, everyone has confidence in him.”  Dependability is one of the key character traits for success.  People have confidence in a person who is dependable.
