P.R.I.D.E. theme of the month is “Esteem-building.”  This week’s quote is from Dr. Seuss.  As we enter the final week of school, it is good to remember some advice from Dr. Seuss, “You have brains in your head.  You have feet in your shoes.  You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.  You’re on your own.  And you know what you know.  You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.  This summer set your own goals, work hard, be kind and TAKE PRIDE in your accomplishments.

Our T.A.K.E.S. P.R.I.D.E. theme of the month is “Esteem-building.”  This week’s quote is from Dr. Seuss.  As we enter the final week of school, it is good to remember some advice from Dr. Seuss, “You have brains in your head.  You have feet in your shoes.  You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.  You’re on your own.  And you know what you know.  You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.  Each line of the poem includes the word YOU.  Believing in yourself is the key to success.            


Field Day begins @ 10:30


Track:  If you missed the track awards, please see Coach Hickey in room 109 to pick up your awards.  This also includes all managers who received a certificate.  There are still several track members who have not exchanged their misprinted jackets.  Please see Coach Hickey to exchange jackets with the correct spelling.

Track jackets that had field spelled wrong can see Coach Hickey to exchange the jacket for one that has the correct spelling.  The original jacket must be exchanged to receive the new one.  Also, anyone who has not turned in their washed uniform need to do so ASAP.

P.R.I.D.E. theme of the month is “Esteem-building.”  This week’s quote is from Dr. Seuss.  As we enter the final week of school, it is good to remember some advice from Dr. Seuss, “You have brains in your head.  You have feet in your shoes.  You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.  You’re on your own.  And you know what you know.  You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.”  Deciding what you want to do is the first step in accomplishing your goals.  Do not let life happen to you.  Meet life head on.

Our T.A.K.E.S. P.R.I.D.E. theme of the month is “Esteem-building.”  This week’s quote is from Dr.

Seuss.  As we enter the final full week of school, it is good to remember some advice from Dr. Seuss,

“You have brains in your head.  You have feet in your shoes.  You can steer yourself in any direction

you choose.  You’re on your own.  And you know what you know.  You are the guy who’ll decide where

to go.”  Dr. Seuss’ books are filled with wisdom and advice.  In this poem, he reminds us that we are in

control of our own futures.  We all have the ability to obtain the goals we set for ourselves.

Our T.A.K.E.S. P.R.I.D.E. theme of the month is “Esteem-building.” This week’s quote is from Albert Einstein.  Albert Einstein, who is highly recognized as a genius in the realm of science, once said, “Everybody is a genius.  But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life believing that it is stupid.”   You may come across times when you fail or cannot complete a task.  It is important to remind yourself to not give up. You have to persevere and keep trying to find success. Take time to identify your resources and to determine which would be the best in meeting the needs of the situation. Never give up!

unknown author.  The quote is, “If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the

problem.”  Important things can happen when you put your mind to it.  Reliable people are

consistent, loyal, and trustworthy.  They can really change the world if they put their minds to it

and care enough.

Our T.A.K.E.S.P.R.I.D.E. theme of the month is “Dependability.”  This week’s quote is from an

unknown author.  The quote is, “If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the

problem.”  To be dependable, you have to show your friends that you will be there in good

times and in bad.  As Oprah Winfrey once said, “Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo,

but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.”

Talent Show: practice Tuesday and Wednesday during 11th period in the Auditorium for all talent show participants. Everyone is expected to be there. We will be running through the entire show.
