Instructional Rounds

A Pennridge leadership team had the opportunity to attend a highly-rigorous training on Instructional Rounds at Harvard University this past December.

Instructional Rounds is a method whereby participants learn to use procedures and a structured process to observe classroom instruction with other team members, analyze what students are actually asked to do as learning tasks and develop ideas for next steps to improve both instruction and student learning.

It was an exceptional learning experience that will support the District’s work in improving instructional practices to improve student outcomes.

The training came at no cost to the district as it was fully-funded through Title II Federal funds that are specifically allotted to districts for professional learning.
