Our Mission Statement

Pennridge School District strives to provide all students with a well-rounded educational experience where they acquire the 21st Century skills necessary for a successful future.

T.A.K.E.S. P.R.I.D.E.

The Pennridge School District has undertaken an initiative to reinforce social and emotional learning in our students. Social and emotional learning skills include the ability to recognize and manage emotions; care about and respect others; develop positive relationships; make good decisions; and behave responsibly and ethically.

We focus on one theme of positive behavior each month that promotes social and emotional learning. Every day, students hear a relevant famous quote, followed by a statement to help reinforce the quote. They are encouraged to think about and to practice the monthly theme in their lives, preparing themselves for success in school, in the world of work, and in their personal relationships.

Our monthly themes are:
  • TRUSTWORTHINESS (September)
  • ACCEPTANCE (October)
  • KINDNESS (November)
  • EMPATHY (December)
  • SERVICE
    (January)
  • PERSEVERANCE (February)
  • RESPECT
    (March)
  • INITIATIVE
    (April)
  • DEPENDABILITY (May)
  • ESTEEM BUILDING (June)

SOCK ROLL CHALLENGE

Sixth graders at Penn North Middle School spent a recent afternoon assembling more than 700 Sock Rolls -- a new pair of socks, crackers and a granola bar -- to be distributed to area homeless and needy families before Christmas. The event was organized by teacher Stacy Verespy in partnership with Giving Tree Families, a non-profit charity based in Montgomery County.
