School Safety Grant Used for "Go Kits"

Thanks to a $25,000 School Safety Grant from the state, every classroom in the district has received a "Go Kit" designed to be used in an emergency. Kits will also be placed in common areas such as cafeterias, guidance offices, libraries, locker rooms, and buses.

The contents of the kits are listed below. All of these items are stored in a black backpack with a white Pennridge logo.

Basic First Aid Kit; Latex-free Gloves; Hand Sanitizer; Water Pouches (6-pack, 5-year shelf life) – intended for students that need to take medication; Tissue Packs; a Whistle (on Lanyard); Glow Stick (White, 12-Hour); Clipboard with tablet and pens; Scissors; Safety Vest; Paper Towels; Duct Tape; and 25 Heavy Duty Plastic Trash Bags.
