Bedminster Principal - Mrs. Stephanie Washam

Dear Bedminster Families,

It’s with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to Bedminster Elementary School.  I am honored and humbled to be serving your community and look forward to building strong relationships.

I am extremely fortunate to come back to serve the elementary school that sparked my curiosity and fostered such a love for reading and learning as a child. My focus this year is to foster the same environment that I enjoyed as a child for each of your students. This secure foundation allows students to feel comfortable enough to take risks, tackle challenges, and grow as learners.

I look forward to getting to know each student; their interests, families, and what really excites them about school. The partnership between our families and school are vital to the success of our students, so I encourage you to become involved in every way possible. We have an amazing Parent Teacher Group at Bedminster, don’t hesitate to reach out and check out all the amazing events that make Bedminster such an exciting place to be!

While I am new to the role of Principal here at Pennridge, I have had the pleasure of partnering with Bedminster staff as Curriculum and Federal Programming Supervisor. I have worked in prior positions as NJ State Literacy Specialist, Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach, and most importantly a lower elementary teacher.

I fell in love with the world of education during a two-year Americorp service after graduating from college. From there, I earned multiple degrees to continue to meet the various needs of my students and grow as an educator. I view education as a life-long process, and I expect to learn more about the rich traditions and qualities that make Bedminster unique.

I look forward to collaborating and working together this year to ensure an excellent educational experience for our students. If there’s any questions or thoughts to share I can be reached via email at swasham@pennridge.org or phone at 215-795-2929. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me, my door is always open.

 With Bobcat Pride,

 Stephanie Washam
